MODEL Maura Higgins gets her skates on — after impressing TV bosses in her new job on Love Island USA.
She shot to fame on the UK version of the show in 2019, and is now “social ambassador” on the Stateside edition, which is currently filming in Fiji.
And she’s been tipped for the top job on an upcoming series called Love Island Games, which will see ex-Islanders from across the world compete in physical challenges.
Since June, Maura has been dating Hollywood stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, who has been Thor star Chris Hemsworth’s double for ten years.
Love Island USA announced the news, writing: “This just in… @maurahiggins will be your social ambassador this season bringing (sneaking) you the BTS scoop all summer!”
Iain Stirling commented: “Welcome to the team.”
She ended up coupled up with Curtis Pritchard in 2019 in a surprise twist that no one saw coming.
She went on to make a name for herself as a TV presenter. She has hosted segments on This Morning and fronted the BBC’s show Glow Up Ireland.
But Maura has previously insisted that people misjudge her.
She said: “When I meet people out, they always say, ‘You’re so much nicer than I expected.’”
