SURELY there’s nothing we don’t know about Love Islanders Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins’ vicious split.
But taking part in the new series of Celebs Go Dating forced Curtis to open up in a way he’s never done before.
Curtis Pritchard breaks down in tears as he discusses his break-up with Maura Higgins on Celebs Go Dating[/caption]In fact things got so bad during his first session with the E4 show’s dating experts Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson he broke down in tears.
Curtis says: “I cried, because I hadn’t spoken to anybody about the Maura situation before.
“To talk openly and freely was a breath of fresh air.
“It was nice to be able to speak with people I felt safe talking about it with.”
Curtis and Maura became one of the talking points of their series of Love Island.
Things went sour between Curtis and Maura after she appeared on Dancing On Ice [/caption]Things went sour after her appearance on Dancing On Ice and closeness with skater Alexander Demetriou.
Curtis added: “I love the work I do, and I’m still young.
“I just feel it was also the same for Maura, and it just meant we went our separate ways.”
I hope when the show airs and we see this outpouring it’s less diplomatic than that . . .
Big test for Soph
IT sounds like Made in Chelsea’s Sophie Hermann might be the first into the private cottage that allows couples some quiet time on Celebs Go Dating.
She said: “It’s going to be testing. I’m going to push my limits because I’ve lived alone for 10 years.
“I love living alone.
“I normally only live with people I have regular sex with, A.K.A. my boyfriends, so that is going to be difficult.
“But, I’ve been to three boarding schools so that’s great preparation.”
Asked if it was true she was booted out of those schools, she added: “Only two, OK?! So I could be trouble in the house. Rules are not for me.”
A recipe for disaster, or explosive telly.

SINGLE Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson says fame has killed her love life – along with the coronavirus pandemic.
She said: “Is Covid the reason I’m not getting dates or is it Corrie? People interact with you differently when you’ve been on a show.
“They often want to talk about Corrie. They’ll ask, ‘What’s Roy like?’ But there’s no scoop I can give them, everyone’s lovely.”
Kimberly played escort Nicky Wheatley on the cobbles, but she says that isn’t what has put people off.
The actress added: “There is definitely an element of, ‘So what do you do?’ And then they’ll be like, ‘Oh, I knew I knew you’.”

Why Joey has Essex appeal
FOR a man who doesn’t exactly have the best chat in the world, Joey Essex certainly has a long list of exes.
But the cheeky Essex boy says it’s not his fault – as girls just throw themselves at him.
He said: “I do have women throwing themselves at me, but I don’t normally just go after all the women, do you know what I mean?”
Joey, who has been linked to a wide variety of ladies, including RITA ORA, says he’s never been more single after splitting from Brazilian model Brenda Santos.
He said: “I’m more single than I’ve ever been in my whole life, and that’s God’s honest truth, right? I literally am so single it’s an absolute joke.
“What I mean by that is I’ve been single for a long time.
“Basically, to put it in a nutshell, I feel like I’ve got no baggage!
“I feel like it’s just Joey in Joey’s world. I’m on my own.”

Twin talent Mark’s got Wright idea
MARK WRIGHT is a busy boy right now and puts it down to his twin talents of being entertaining and being likeable.
Not only is he doing the daily keep-fit programme Workout the Wright Way on BBC2, from tomorrow he’ll also be doing a weekly fitness segment on ITV’s Loose Women.
Mark Wright will be doing a weekly fitness segment on ITV’s Loose Women[/caption]But Mark, who is married to Michelle Keegan and also plays football for Crawley Town, says starting out on reality TV carries a stigma.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: “The minute somebody does one, they apparently have no talents.
“But I beg to differ. It’s not easy to have a camera put in your face and be expected to be entertaining or likeable.”
You said it, Mark.

Peaky fans perky at movie hint
PEAKY Blinders fans will be crying tears of joy and sadness today.
Filming has begun on the latest series – but sadly it will be the last.
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has assured fans ‘the story will continue in another form’ when the TV series ends[/caption]The acclaimed BBC drama, which tells the story of bad boy Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his notorious family’s rise to power in post-First World War Birmingham, is an international success.
And producers claim they’ve saved the best for last.
Creator and writer Steven Knight said: “Peaky is back and with a bang.
“We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it.”
But they needn’t be too upset as the Brummie drama looks far from being over.
Steven added: “While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”
That sounds like a Peaky Blinders movie to me . . .
